Statistics: Russia’s deflation seen at 0.13% in Aug 9–15
MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price deflation amounted to 0.13% in the week from August 9 through Monday, and inflation has reached 10.72% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
The prices for millet fell by 1.08%, for buckwheat by 0.67%. The sugar prices rose 0.69%, the cheese ones 0.36%.
The price for fruit and vegetables fell by 3.6% on average. The price for cucumbers decreased by 6.4%, beets 6%, potatoes 5.4%, carrots 5.3%, cabbage 5%, tomatoes 4.2%, bananas 2.8%, onions 2.7% and apples 1.6%.
The price for gasoline remained almost flat and for diesel fuel increased 0.1%.
